Most of my races tend to be very long and out on the trails – and I love it. But sometimes I like to mix it up and toss in some road (or flat trail) running for fun. It can be such a treat to not worry about footwork, and getting done with a race in just a few hours vs. an all-day affair.
We gave this a go in February with the My Better Half Marathon – Virtual (race report found here). That was our first time running an Orca Running race, and I must say, I was impressed. It was a fun concept, and the swag we got was great: top-quality shirts and really fun medals (annnd some Valentine’s Day candy – win!)
Since we had such a good time with a virtual race, I’ll soon be checking out some of their local races. They have a slew of great race options, which can be found HERE.
I’m also happy to announce I was given an opportunity to be a part of the Orca Running Blogger program!
The perks of this, dear reader, means race discounts for you! Check out their races, and use the discount code WILLRUNFORWHISKY to receive 10% off your race registration!
Adam and I signed up to run their Iron Horse Half Marathon on August 28, and we’re really looking forward to it. Downhill course (hello, PR?), great swag, and free race photos! Care to join the fun? Hope to see you out there!
